Voorblad Amsterdam Call for Action on Open Science

During the EU Competitiveness Council of 27 May 2016 the Flemish government made a commitment towards Open Science 2020. In order to turn this commitment into action the Flemish government should make Open Science a top priority with an ambitious road map and a dedicated taskforce. In its Advisory Report 223 the VRWI formulates recommendations along seven priority axes of Open Science. The VRWI hopes they will be used by the taskforce and the relevant stakeholders to make Open Science a reality in Flanders:

1. Open Access
2. Open Data
3. European Open Science Cloud
4. Citizen Science
5. New metrics, indicators and incentives for Open Science
6. Education and skills
7. Open Science as an instrument for fast (Open) Innovation trajectories.
